Director, Institutional Advisory & Capacity Development
Matilda is an institutional advisory and capacity-development specialist with deep expertise in operations, risk, governance, regulatory compliance and organisational performance. Her career in financial services and her work as a part-time facilitator at the Central Bank of Kenya Institute of Monetary Studies have given her a practical understanding of how institutions can strengthen controls, develop their people and translate complex requirements into effective day-to-day practice. She has trained more than 500 professionals, including central-bank and regulatory participants from Kenya and across the region. Her areas of expertise include operational controls, risk management, AML/CFT, fraud prevention, payment systems, cash and vault management, financial inclusion, virtual assets, customer experience, leadership and workplace effectiveness. At MINEL, Matilda directs institutional advisory, training and capacity-development work designed to support regulators, corporates, public institutions and development organisations. She combines technical depth with practical learning design to help clients strengthen systems, improve performance, manage emerging risks and build teams prepared for change.

Director, Creative Strategy & Programmes
Edward Khaemba is an award-winning creative producer, writer and storyteller with over a decade and a half of experience across film, television, digital media and development communications.
Edward has built a career at the intersection of storytelling, communication and social impact, with creative work spanning a range of projects in Kenya and across the continent, including the acclaimed The XYZ Show. His work spans entertainment, public-interest campaigns and creative learning, giving him a distinctive ability to communicate across the creative, development and corporate sectors.
Edward brings a particularly valuable ability to take complex, high-level ideas and turn them into clear, relatable and engaging communication. Whether working across institutional change, climate, digital transformation or social impact, he looks beyond technical language to find the human story — using everyday language, humour, metaphor and compelling narratives to make difficult concepts accessible without losing their substance.
Under his leadership, MINEL has made significant strides in mainstreaming creative and strategic approaches across its programmes, helping clients move beyond simply sharing information to creating communication and learning experiences that foster deeper understanding.
